Amy Carlson

 Amy Lynn Carlson, born 7 July 1968 was an American actress. She is best known for her appearances on CBS as Linda Reagan and NBC as Alex Taylor.



 



 Early life



 Carlson was brought up in Glen Ellyn by Robert Eugene Carlson Her father was a teacher. He was born in Elmhurst ([DuPage County Illinoisnear to Chicago). She is of Swedish descent and has roots in Smaland.



 



 Career



 1986-92: Early career and college



 She first came to Hollywood through her part as a background actress in the movie Lucas starring Charlie Sheen (Corey Haim) and Winona Ryder. Later, she went with her sister Betsy (Knox College) to Galesburg.
